Abstract :
An efficient algorithm for the analysis and computer aided design of slotted waveguide arrays is presented. This algorithm is based on the generalized admittance matrix method. The use of analytical or semianalytical expressions for calculating the modal reaction integrals for both the waveguided and radiating regions results in extreme speed-up of the overall procedure. Furthermore, the algorithm provides a fast evaluation of conducting losses, useful when low cost materials are employed for a mass-production. An applicative example of a slotted waveguide array is also presented.
