Abstract
Difficulties are encountered in applying multivariable fuzzy systems to industrial processes mainly due to the complexity of the multidimensional fuzzy relation that is to be developed and as a consequence memory overload of most industrial computers results. This paper describes a new technique that is simple in structure and has the ability to avoid memory overloading in industrial computers. A welding application is considered to describe the implementation of such a technique where the cavity width and depth are the inputs and the robot arm speed is the output of the system
