Abstract :
In this paper, A novel ship detection method based on the principle component analysis technique and sparseness is developed. The model relates components of the covariance matrix. RADARSAT-2 QUAD Mode image is used to demonstrate the efficiency of the method. Compared with HV CFAR detector a better performance of our method is shown. Moreover, this method does not depend on the size of target and therefore offers more adaptability for ship detection.
