Abstract :
A scanned Blade Beam reflector antenna system is proposed. It combines a main reflector with parabolic curvature in the horizontal plane and elliptical curvature in the vertical one with a confocal configuration in order to achieve mechanical scanning of the blade beam by means of a tilting flat mirror without displacing the whole reflector system. The proposed configuration is suitable for nearfield millimeter-wave or submillimeter imaging systems.
