The Release 1 signalling protocol is essentially ready for implementation and soon to be deployed in real networks allowing simple calls. Capability Set 2 will introduce a number of phased improvements including multipoint connections and multiple bearers C53 will add the power of intelligent networks and embedded multimedia servers, requiring a more flexible control architecture
