Abstract
The Global Broadcast Service (GBS) Phase II system is designed to provide eight different end-to-end data services to its end users. These services are based on the encapsulation of assorted source data types into various protocol data formats prior to being multiplexed into one RF broadcast waveform. This paper describes the encapsulation/de-encapsulation process for each GBS service as data for that service is passed end-to-end through the system (transmit suite to receive suite)
