Abstract :
SIBCONVERS´99 Symposium provided an international tribune for information exchange on conversion of the military or double purpose scientific researches and investigations for use for peaceful purposes. More than 200 reports presented by various Universities and organizations have been included in the Symposium Program. This year the symposium strongly solicited papers on radar and radiowave propagation, and 57 were submitted. The symposium topics have covered a wide circle of problems connected with conversion in the field of higher education; radioelectronics, instrument making, nuclear technologies, new materials properties researches and applied mechanics. The technical program includes topics in the perspective technologies, modern physics, control systems, medical electronics, radiotechnical devices, electronic and microwave devices, radar and radiowave propagation, information systems and telecommunications. As with previous SIBCONVERS, the largest percentage of papers was received in the fields of radiowave propagation: radars, propagation in urban area, underground penetration and microwave devices
