Abstract
In this paper different noise models and their resulting impairments on the formation of Brillouin precursors through dispersive media are discussed. The dispersive media is the triply distilled water represented by Debye model. Simulations are performed for different SNR and different center frequencies using three different noise models to investigate the effect of noise on precursor formation.
