Abstract :
This paper introduces the concept of logistics support in a product´s complete life-cycle, and outlines a strategic framework for logistics support, called CALS. The effect of CALS framework on the new standards for storage, retrieval, sharing and exchange of technical information are discussed. This is followed by a review of the techniques, tools and technology needed for a product´s logistics support. In particular, a method called logistics support analysis is presented to achieve this objective
