Abstract :
This paper describes the work being undertaken at the University of Humberside to develop computer assisted learning (CAL) programmes which support both knowledge and investigative based learning. It outlines the limitations of the packages which are currently available through commercial sources and the problems of embedding purpose written analysis tools within a conventional CAL package
