Abstract :
A compact, graphical notation that captures the affective (socio/emotional) aspects of group interactions as a group mood meter is described. The notation was developed within the context of ongoing groupware research at MCC. The use of the notation for video analysis of human interactions from groupware-supported work sessions is briefly described. Other potential uses of the notation for informational retrieval and as a group feedback mechanism during face-to-face, dispersed, and asynchronous interactions are also discussed
