Abstract :
Scheduling in cdma2000 1xEV-DO system enables it to exploit the variation in the channel conditions, and transmit to the user with the currently ´best´ channel. However, most conventional algorithms such as proportional fairness are throughput optimized. As the demand for real-time traffic increases, it is necessary for scheduling to provide quality of service (QoS) in wireless access part of cdma2000 networks. A unique feature of our work is explicit provisioning of QoS based on differentiated service, which is preferred by standard organization as the principle to provide end-to-end QoS. We apply the method of the sorting of weighted sum to solve the scheduling with QoS guaranteed. When system is not heavily loaded, our scheme can achieve a capacity gain, and also meet the QoS requirements in terms of delay, jitter, and data rate.
