Abstract
The office of the future will rely on a series of complex Data Processing Systems. Included within the office´s equipment needs will be such things as Word Processors, Electronic Mail Systems, and other interactive computer based office support systems. In many cases, the information being handled by these systems may be of an extremely critical nature and the possibility of data loss due to a power line spike or brownout must be guarded against. This paper will discuss a power system which will prevent data loss as a result of line spikes or interruptions by providing a combination of power line filtering and emergency power generation operation.
