Abstract
The present work describes the main problems- and their corresponding solutions - in the implementation of Energy Systems for Earth Stations in the Amazon Region. It analyses initially the potential choices of Energy Systems in order to conclude on the best alternative to be adopted in view of several parameters, including the individual and adverse conditions of the Region. After deciding to use metal containers for sheltering the equipment, relevance and deeper concern were given to several items that were normally disregarded in conventional installations, like ventilation, thermal and accoustic insulation and reduction of vibration. The main achievement of the work as a whole was the development of a remarkable experience in the quick and economic implementation of energy systems in places with a lack of resources.
