  • Abstract
    An analysis of the overall mean squared error (MSE) for MDC video transmitted over lossy channels is present. A model describing the relationship among bit-rate, distortion and channel loss rate is also proposed. We base the whole analyzing on our newly proposed auto-resilient multiple description video coding (ARMDC) scheme which has shown its robust error resilience ability in wireless transmission environment. In this paper, we give not only the consequence but also the detailed deducing process as well as the experimental results to validate it. Experiment results show that our model accords with the practical data well.
