Abstract :
This paper selects rural settlements renovation as study object to analyze the main factors of land consolidation potential. It is processed by ERDAS that the images of Mingguang which resolution are 5 m taken by SPOT-5 in 2010 to extract five types of land area containing construction land, cultivated land, forest land, waters and nature reserves. The consolidation potential of rural settlements was estimated by combining modificatory data of land surveys, related statistics and planning. The paper to the conclusion that the increasing arable land coefficient of Mingguang is 54.28%, potential rating is in Class I and proposed recommendations of land consolidation.
