Abstract :
In order to simulate the RF characteristics of helix traveling-wave tubes (TWTs), the macro program is completed based on 3-dimensional (3-D) simulation codes, including Ansoft HFSS, CST Microwave Studio and CST MAFIA. With the macro program, a sample traveling-wave tube is simulated and the results meet the measurements very well. Compared with the past user-interface method, the macro-program method is more efficient and more accurate.
