  • Abstract
Thermal analysis techniques such as Differential Scanning Calorimetry and Thermogravimetric Analysis have a wide range of applications in the study of polymeric insulators used in power engineering. They made be used to characterise the thermal stability, degradation mechanisms and thermal history of materials. In forensic studies, they often allow the identification of the base material and the type and concentration of fillers used
