Message from the general chair

It is my great pleasure and distinct honor to welcome you to the 6^th ACM/IEEE Symposium on Architectures for Networking and Communications Systems (ANCS) in La Jolla, California. ANCS is the premier event dedicated to interdisciplinary systems-oriented research on the relationship between the architecture of modern computer networks and the architecture of the individual hardware and software elements from which these networks are built. This year´s symposium particularly emphasizes insight into broader systems issues to recognize and foster the growth of research that lies at the intersection of computer and network systems architecture. The interdisciplinary nature of this symposium is reflected by the breadth of our technical sponsors, which includes ACM SIGARCH, ACM SIGCOMM, and the IEEE Computer Society. Their generous support has made the continuation of this successful symposium possible.
