Abstract
This paper describes an energy-saving cooling system for the cooling of computer rooms that does not require the operation of existing cooling systems but carries out cooling utilizing the cold outdoor air of the winter season. Instead of using conventional refrigerants as the cooling medium, the new cooling system utilizes cold water. Water cooled by the low temperature outdoor air is taken to a heat exchanger, and the air in the computer room is cooled by this heat exchanger. The temperature of the computer room can be regulated to within ±1°C. by this system.
