Ultrafast microscopy of surface plasmon dynamics

Abstract :
Localized and propagating surface plasmon dynamics in Ag films are imaged by time-resolved photoemission electron microscopy with <10 fs time and d~40 nm spatial resolution. Movies of plasmon dephasing are recorded with 330 as/frame rate.
