Abstract
Developments in relay technology have resulted in comprehensive, multi-functional relays being developed and applied to power systems worldwide. These devices combine protection, control and monitoring functions and offer facilities for faster fault clearance, data gathering and post fault analysis. By considered use of the programmable scheme logic of the relay, innovative solutions to protection problems can also be implemented
