Abstract
Ground moving target detection is a challenging task in multichannel synthetic aperture radar (SAR) system, especially under the strong clutter background. In recent years, with the rapid development of sparse representation, the theory of robust principal component analysis (RPCA) has emerged. In this paper, we propose a RPCA based moving target detection method in multichannel SAR system, and analyze its application condition, where the simulation and experimental results are illuminated to show the performance. Compared with the existing target detection methods, the RPCA based method is easily operated and robust against platform motion error. Moreover, it can be processed in different regions for various usages, which would be helpful for further processing like improving the performance of STAP.
