Abstract
The organisation of international comparisons is undergoing a significant change leading to a more systematic coverage of the measurements undertaken. This process leads to a more consistent basis for the mutual recognition of the standards and calibrations of national measurement institutes and therefore for the mutual recognition agreements between accreditation bodies. Approaches for the calculation of reference values and degrees of equivalence and their associated uncertainties are still to be agreed
