Abstract :
The authors evaluate the operation of multirate switched-capacitor circuits under non-ideal characteristics of the switching waveform generators. Analytical expressions are derived showing the influence of switch-timing errors in the frequency response of both finite impulse response and infinite impulse response circuits. In order to reduce such errors, efficient digital switching waveform generators are discussed. The results obtained by computer simulation and by experimental characterization of integrated circuit prototypes demonstrate the validity of the theoretical analysis
