Abstract :
Since their origins in the 1950s, the techniques of synthetic aperture radar have come a long way, and SAR is now routinely used, both from satellites for geophysical remote sensing and from aircraft for high-resolution surveillance. This paper presents a subjective and selective review of some developments in systems, techniques and results.
