Abstract :
A microwave generator with retarding field which has double-gap cavity was investigated. This device has two modulation areas; the first modulation area is placed between first and second grids and the second between second grid and reflector. The cavity of generator excites oscillations on TEM and E010 mode. In such generator electron efficiency can reach up to 30%. This device will be useful as a simple microwave generator and can provide medium and high level of output power.
