Abstract
Cylindrical lens applicator for microwave heating of biological tissues in vivo is described. Electrodynamic characteristics: cutoff wavelengths of basic waveguide unit and power density distributions inside human tissue are simulated numerically. It is shown that proposed design is an attractive alternative to conventional microwave medical applicators.
