Abstract :
The paper demonstrates optical tweezer´s potential by showing more than eight Mie resonance peaks of a single 9 μm polystyrene microspheres, and showed the capability to selective couple the light to either the TE, TM or both microsphere modes depending of the beam size, the light polarization and the beam positioning. The spectrum obtained from the luminescence excited by two photon absorption (TPE - luminescence) using the optical tweezers to hold a 6 μm bead suspended and a femtosecond Ti:sapphire laser for two photon excitation.
