Abstract
This paper presents a new algorithm for blind equalization and carrier phase recovery called square contour algorithm (SCA). This algorithm combines the benefits of the well-known reduced constellation algorithm (RCA), constant modulus algorithm (CMA), and recently proposed multi-modulus algorithm (MMA). Simulation results confirm the effectiveness of the new algorithm in removing ISI and recovering carrier phase error simultaneously.
