Abstract :
There is an abundance of meeting, collaboration and communication tools available in the industry today with a wide variety of available features. This is both a strength and weakness. The flexibility exists to choose the solution(s) that best fits the individual need. However, the lack of integration, federation, interoperability and access may limit the potential overall value. This paper will examine the current state of the meeting landscape and describe the problems and issues that are impediments to a substantial increase in the value of these tools for communication and collaboration. A “One Meeting” concept will be introduced along with a set of requirements and recommendations on how the current limitations can be addressed.
