Abstract :
A novel scheme to generate continuous variable polarization squeezing, using intense, femtosecond pulsed laser beams at 1500 nm in a single pass through a polarization maintaining fiber is reported in the paper. The system generates directly measurable polarization squeezing without the need for auxiliary resources and is thus in principle limited only by the system´s linear losses. The experimental setup also allows for the direct measurement of the squeezing angle.
