Abstract :
Adaptive line enhancer (ALE) is widely used for enhancing the sinusoids corrupted by noise or estimating and tracking the unknown frequencies of the sinusoids This paper presents a new architecture of ALE, called ALECA. It is shown that the new processor possesses the equivalent ARMA structure. Better convergence and lower sensitivity to the adaptive parameter of the adaptive transversal filter are observed in the ALECA. The hardware implementation shows that it substantially improves the processing gain of conventional ALE
