Abstract
This paper describes a method of auto-tuning an I-PD controller for processes with long deadtimes using neural networks. As is well known, it is too difficult for most process engineers to determine gains of the I-PD controller for such controlled objects. In this paper, we try to use neural networks as a controller. Simulation results show that the proposed method is effective to the actual plant
