  • Abstract
    Boost converter has been widely applied in electric equipment. Optimizing its operating characteristic can improve the ability of whole device. This paper presents a new control method for Boost converter in discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) to realize synchronous rectification (SR) of the rectifier and zero voltage switching (ZVS) of the power switch. Current and voltage information of the converter are detected to generate the control signals by logical calculation. No power device is added to conventional Boost converter. Experiment results are presented to demonstrate the theoretical analysis.
