  • Abstract
    In this paper we propose a broadcasting scheme with STBC (space time block codes) cooperative relay in multi-hop cellular network (MCN). In this scheme, base stations (BSs) broadcast the packets to mobile terminals (MTs) and relay stations (RSs), and at the next time slot, RSs which have correctly received the broadcast packets rebroadcast the packets with BSs simultaneously. In addition, when RSs rebroadcast the packets, the packets are encoded by STBC in each RS in order to improve the communication quality by using the inter-cell site diversity effect and antenna diversity effect. Finally, the simulation results indicate that the proposed scheme improves packet success probability and reduces time cost compared to conventional broadcast schemes.
