Abstract :
In this paper, I look at one factor that affects the performance of R & D of advanced medical technologies and medical devices: cooperation between medical doctors and engineers. I examine perceptions on the cooperation between medical doctors and engineers in U.S., Japan and Germany based on a case study on artificial vision system and a survey. In particular, I look at the differences in perception between medical doctors and engineers across these three countries.
