Abstract :
In the Skyward Experimental Rocketry framework, a student managed project, the aim of this paper is the design of an innovative antenna for a telemetry system that has to be mounted on a experimental rocket that has to be designed in order to establish the new European altitude record for student rocketry. In particular the antenna here considered has to be mounted on a low cost rocket, Roxanne I, in order to send and receive data from a micro-controlled circuit on-board to a base-station on the ground, to ensure the safety and the effectiveness of the control of the whole system. The experimental results of the rocket launch, now scheduled on March 2013, will be directly presented at the conference.
