Abstract
Block-based transceivers with minimum redundancy induce a Toeplitz effective channel matrix that may lead to higher noise gains than circulant channel matrices. This work proposes an optimal power-allocation method that minimizes the noise gains when channel-state information (CSI) is available at the transmitter end. Simulation results demonstrate that the design approaches allow higher throughputs in a number of situations, revealing the potential usefulness of the proposed solutions.
