Abstract :
Water resource in China is scare, non-balanced distribution and polluted very severely. Water problem has become the key obstacles for the sustainable development of China. The comprehensive evaluation of urban water security is the foundation for carrying out the strategy and plan of urban water security. In this paper, the index system of urban water security evaluation is established and the index weights are determined by information entropy method, which can overcome the disadvantages of other methods in deciding the weights. The model of urban water security evaluation is proposed based on unascertained measure method and applied to evaluating water security of Nanjing. The case study shows that the model is efficient and can be used in the assessment of urban water security. This work is helpful for China´s urban water security management and can promote water resource sustainable development.
