Abstract :
In this paper, a very simple PSpice model which includes the high-frequency dynamic behavior of discharge lamps is proposed. The model is based on the assumption that the lamp behaves as a constant voltage source at stable operation. This assumption simplifies the lamp modeling and contrary to other models no extra laboratory measurements are needed, thus the only input data required are nominal lamp power and voltage. The model accuracy depends on the lamp voltage variations. Therefore, if lamp voltage variations are low the model accuracy will be very high
