Abstract :
For around 20 years, the IEC static convertor standards committee has included a study group dealing with the formulation and development of IEC standards for UPS systems. In this connection, a corresponding European standardization project exists in CENELEC since 1988 with the aim of taking into account as quickly as possible, in the safety conditions for power supply devices in office equipment, recent technological developments in the UPS sector. This report deals with the results of the previous work and further standardization projects.
