  • Abstract
We present a multiple effect system task in auditing for which interactions between expert systems requires the knowledge-based translation of a primary model of the task domain into the input domain of each expert system in the organizational decision support system. (ODSS). We propose a constrained descriptive language, based on first order predicate logic, for all the expert systems in a domain. Such a common descriptive language simplifies the translation procedures since source and target language syntax are identical. The language constraints are based on the mathematical notion of a relational structure. We present a reduced scale case to illustrate the use of the language for domain description and translation
