Abstract :
We describe the construction of, and our experimental experience with, an ad hoc wireless testbed developed as part of the DARPA Global Mobile Information Systems (GloMo) sponsored MMWN and DAWN projects. The goal of the MMWN/DAWN system is the network-layer support for real-time QoS in large, dense, mobile ad hoc networks. The testbed consists of MMWN/DAWN switches-a single box with an embedded processor, and a commercial radio transceiver, and endpoints-laptops running voice and data applications. We have conducted a number of real-life experiments with this testbed, and report on our experiences and results
