Abstract :
A compact Wearable antenna with phantom is proposed and simulated in this paper. This antenna consists of a circular patch with notch-cut fed by a 50 ohm microstrip line, and a partial ground plane. The substrate of the designed antenna is made from a leather fabric (εr=1.8). The phantom consists of three layers and they are skin, fat and muscle. The proposed antenna is able to achieve an impedance bandwidth about 10.4 GHz (3.6 GHz - 14 GHz) for S11<;-10 dB. Hence, this proposed antenna is as potential candidate in UWB application. The return loss, VSWR, radiation pattern, radiation efficiency, gain, group delay, SAR, and current distribution of the proposed antenna are investigated in this paper. The simulation results and proposed antenna design details are presented by CST microwave studio 2011.
