Abstract
Our primary concern is innovation in business processes, especially with focus on how to analyze occurrences of radical innovation as a result of business process redesign (BPR) projects. BPR is a new field, and there has so far been little development of theories and methodology in the area. Important questions we address are: can BPR and innovation in business processes be studies according to the same principles as used in studies of information systems, what are the consequences of this alternative, and do we have other alternatives?
