Abstract :
We present a precise nulling method for reducing excitation error in phased array antenna having several elements. In the phased arrays to form null in the antenna pattern, the null direction is shifted because of the excitation error (quantization error etc.). The proposed method can alleviate the effect of the excitation error by combining some quantized excitation weight. Computer simulation results show that the output Signal to interference and noise power ratio (SINR) of the proposed method can be greatly improved in comparison with that of quantized excitation weight.
