Abstract :
In this paper, we present a simple algorithm for realizing ultra low sidelobe in time-modulated array antennas. Although the conventional algorithm controls the on-time of the switch, it is difficult to realize the time sequence in practical switches. The proposed algorithm controls the distribution of excitation. There are two types of phase distribution in the conjugate relation. The effectiveness of proposed algorithm is confirmed by computer simulation and experiment. The proposed algorithm does not require an additional hardware for conventional phased array antenna system and can be easily applied.
