Abstract :
For the general class of smoothed Wigner distributions (SWDs), iterative algorithms for both global and halfband signal synthesis are presented. The general algorithms comprise previously proposed algorithms for Wigner distribution (WD) and pseudo Wigner distribution (PWD) as special cases. The performance of the algorithms and the advantage of SWD signal synthesis over conventional WD signal synthesis are demonstrated by means of computer simulation results
