Abstract
Telecommunications have become a vital device for researchers to exchange information externally. However, from an internal perspective, there are also people with matching interests. Why should they hold their meetings gathered in one place, face-to-face at the pre-agreed time? This paper clarifies some of the dynamics of such gatherings (especially seminars). A literary review focuses the phenomenon from three different angles, that include educational sciences, the theory of action and organisational communication. An action research approach is used to study the technical feasibility in practice
